Megalith means “large stone.” These stones were used to create structures. Menhirs, dolmens, and stone circles are examples of these.
La Roche Bralante de Rochefort-Montagne
La Roche Bralante de Rochefort-Montagne. It's a 90-minute walk from Orcival through the fields. You can also park your car on the D74 near “Ferme le Roc”, 63210 Orcival.
You can make the stone (25 tons of granite) move!
La Roche Branlante à Gelles
La Roche Branlante in Gelles, about 30 km from Tralaigues. An ancient Druidic site with remarkable rock formations. There is a marked 3.9 km walk: Randonnée pédestre La Roche Bralante de Gelles, which starts from Mont la Côte.
Rocher des Trois Tourtes
The Rocher des Trois Tourtes (Rock of the Three Pies), is located in the municipality of Verneugheol on the border with the municipality of Herment.
Access is relatively easy. Along the D82 at the bridge over the Sioulet, you can stop at a small parking lot. Just follow the signs. For the brave, there is the 10.5 km hiking trail “Les Trois Tourtes du Sioulet” that starts in Herment.
